Arizona vs. Oregon score predictions

Will the Wildcats complete the road sweep?

The Arizona Wildcats (17-12, 8-8) will go for the road sweep Saturday when they face the Oregon Ducks (16-12, 7-8) in Eugene.

Oregon won the first matchup 59-54 in Tucson back in January and is predicted to win the rematch 66-61 with a 67 percent win probability, according to KenPom.

Brian J. Pedersen — Arizona wins 64-61

Let’s keep this thing rolling, with or without Chase Jeter. The fact he came back into Thursday’s game after hurting his knee is a sign that the injury wasn’t serious, but that he had to come right back out means pain tolerance will be the main issue. That kept him from playing a few games after falling on his back, and with the quick turnaround it’s easy to imagine he’ll sit (or be extremely limited) in Eugene. Either way, Arizona can win without him as long as Ira Lee can manage to somewhat defend the interior without fouling. Oregon is even worse at drawing fouls than the Wildcats, so this game will come down to which team is more adept from the perimeter.

Christopher Boan — Oregon wins 78-69

Oregon just ripped apart ASU like a pack of hungry wolves attacking an elusive salmon, so I fully expect them to do much the same on Saturday night. Dana Altman’s team is finally starting to come into form, thanks to a defense that ranks 40th in the nation, according to Ken Pomeroy. Expect Kenny Wooten, who dominated Arizona earlier this year, to do much the same this weekend. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Ducks win this one by double digits, unless Ira Lee and Devonaire Doutrive have another offensive smorgasbord and turn the Ducks into glorified foie gras.

Ronnie Stoffle — Arizona wins 75-71

The extent of the Chase Jeter injury may not be certain right now. It’s probably safe to assume he won’t see much playing time in this one. The good news is Ira Lee has been playing the best basketball of his UA tenure over the last month. He will be a key factor in this game.

Another key factor to this game will be the potential resurrection of the Brandon’s 1-2 punch. Both are coming off strong performances against the Beavers (minus Williams fouling out).

Ultimately, it feels like Sean Miller has the team back to pre-losing streak form. They’re playing strong basketball at the most important time of the year. With that, I expect the Wildcats to keep things rolling.

Jason Bartel — Oregon wins 75-65

As surprised as I was by Arizona turning things around after how the second half started vs. OSU to get a win, I don’t think they’ll be in a position where Devonaire Doutrive can bail out an awful final possession. The Ducks just decimated ASU, and frankly I trust them more in this crucial Pac-12 Tournament seeding battle. But this is the Pac-12 and I wouldn’t be surprised if things went totally the other way.

Ryan Kelapire — Oregon wins 68-63

Chase Jeter’s status really concerns me and I don’t see how Arizona wins without him. Oregon handled the Wildcats quite easily back in January and that was Jeter on the court.

The Ducks are the more talented team and it’s Senior Night, so I think they will take care of business. Turnovers will be key for the Wildcats. Arizona have mostly done a good job limiting them this season, but the Ducks forced 14 UA turnovers last time out.
