Nick Foles to sign 4-year deal with Jacksonville Jaguars, per report

Nick Foles and Rod Tidwell now one thing in common. Their agents showed them the money.

The former Arizona Wildcats quarterback will sign a 4-year, $88 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars once free agency officially begins, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Approximately $50 million is guaranteed, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and the max value is $102 million, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Foles is cashing in on his incredible postseason success the past two years when he was filling in for the injured Carson Wentz. In 2018, Foles was Super Bowl MVP after leading the Eagles to their first-ever championship. This past season he led the Eagles back to the postseason and a dropped pass away from the NFC Championship game.

Foles compiled a 93.2 passer rating in his Eagles career. In the postseason he completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 1,133 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Foles, 30, will take over a Jacksonville team that is loaded with defensive talent and just one season removed from an AFC Championship Game appearance.

The Jaguars are expected to release former No. 3 overall Blake Bortles, per Rapoport.
