Arizona absent from Pro Football Focus’ All-Pac-12 first team

Four Wildcats earn second-team honors

The Pac-12 is set to release its all-conference teams on Tuesday, and if Pro Football Focus’ version is any indication, it’s not going to go well for the Arizona Wildcats.

Arizona failed to land any players on PFF’s first team, the only team in the conference without one. Arizona State and Oregon State both had one first-team selection while everyone else had at least two.

While the Wildcats weren’t represented on the first team they did get four players on the second team: wide receiver Shawn Poindexter, guard Cody Creason, defensive lineman PJ Johnson and safety Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles.

Linebacker Colin Schooler, who finished second in the Pac-12 with 21.5 tackles for loss, and running back JJ Taylor, whose 1,434 rushing yards were second in the league, were notable omissions for Arizona.
