Allonzo Trier drops career-high 25 for New York Knicks in upset of New Orleans
Undrafted but undaunted. That might be the best way to describe Allonzo Trier’s brief NBA career to this point.
The former Arizona Wildcats star had his latest (of many) breakout performances on Friday night, scoring a career-best 25 points in the New York Knicks’ 114-109 win over the New Orleans Hornets.
Trier, who left Arizona after his junior season last March but was not drafted, played 34 minutes off the bench and was 9 of 12 from the field including 3 of 3 from three-point range. He also had eight rebounds and four assists while finishing with a plus-13 rating.
The 6-foot-5 guard is averaging 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists this season on 47.6 percent shooting.
