Arizona in the NBA: Deandre Ayton, Allonzo Trier impress in debuts

Great night for Aaron Gordon, too

The NBA season is underway and the Arizona Wildcats are making their presence felt around the league.

Aaron Gordon started the night with 26 points and 16 rebounds in the Orlando Magic’s 104-101 win over the Miami Heat.

Gordon was 9 for 18 from the field and made four of the five 3s he attempted.

Allonzo Trier then built off a solid preseason by dropping 15 points on nine shots in 26 minutes in the Knicks rout of the Hawks.

Trier added four rebounds, two blocks and filthy dunk in traffic.

Deandre Ayton followed that up with 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the Suns’ 121-100 win over the Mavericks. Ayton was 8 for 11 from the field and a +17.

Devin Booker dropped 35 points, showing why that duo should be exciting to watch for years to come.
