Amato is one win away from becoming the winningest coach in Arizona soccer history

The Arizona Wildcats soccer team returns to the pitch Sunday when they host Houston Baptist (1-1) at 6 p.m. MST.

The Wildcats (1-1) are coming off a big win at UC Irvine thanks to a late goal by Jill Aguilera, who scored the game-winner in the 71st minute. It Tony Amato’s 56th victory at Arizona, putting the sixth-year head coach in a tie for UA’s all-time wins record.

We caught up with him Saturday to talk about that, the win at UC Irvine, Aguilera’s development, and lots more:
