VIDEO: Defensive coordinator Marcel Yates discusses his rising linebackers, secondary depth and ‘beef’ up front

Marcel Yates is one of the few holdovers from Rich Rodriguez’s last staff with the Arizona Wildcats, set to be defensive coordinator for the third season. Those first two teams were not good, statistically or on the scoreboard, though the 2017 team was incredibly young.

The unit Yates should have on the field this fall will be bigger, faster and, most importantly, more experienced.
