Arizona moves up to No. 17 in AP Poll

ASU stays at No. 3

The Arizona Wildcats have moved up a spot in the latest AP Poll, jumping up from No. 18 to No. 17, it was unveiled Monday.

Arizona (10-3) beat North Dakota State and UConn last week to extend its win streak to seven games.

  12. Oklahoma Sooners
  13. North Carolina Tar Heels

  17. Arizona Wildcats
  18. Baylor Bears
  19. Tennessee Volunteers

Arizona opens up Pac-12 play Saturday, Dec. 30 against ASU (13-0) which remained at No. 3 in the polls.

The two Arizona schools are the only Pac-12 schools ranked in the Top 25, and appear destined to finish 1-2 in the conference.

Saturday’s rivalry game is the most anticipated game in McKale Center in recent memory. The Wildcats have already announced a sell out and a “red out.”

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MST on the Pac-12 Networks.
