Arizona vs. ASU kickoff time and TV channel announced

A day game? Those are real things?

Late kickoffs are officially a thing of the past for the Arizona Wildcats — at least for the rest of the regular season.

The kickoff time for the 2017 Territorial Cup was announced Monday, and Arizona will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. MST in Tempe.

That’s Arizona’s earliest kickoff time, by far, this year.

The not-so-good news is the Territorial Cup will be televised on the Pac-12 Network, meaning a large number of people won’t be able to tune in.

The week before the Territorial Cup, Arizona will take on the Oregon Ducks at 5 p.m. MST, which is another reasonable kickoff time, unlike the 8:15 p.m. kickoff Arizona had vs. Oregon State this past weekend.

Arizona beat ASU in last year’s Territorial Cup, 56-35. Did you know the Wildcats did that without attempting a pass in the second half?

If not, now you do. If you did know, there’s never a bad time to be reminded of that.

Arizona also broke a school rushing record against ASU last year, running for 511 yards.

ASU has the No. 9 rushing defense in the Pac-12 this year, and Khalil Tate has been putting up video-game numbers no matter what team is lined up against him, so similar things could happen this year, too.
