4-star athlete Bryan Addison has Arizona in his top 5

He goes to the same high school Khalil Tate attended

Four-star athlete Bryan Addison has the Arizona Wildcats in his top five, he announced Thursday on Twitter.

The Wildcats are joined by the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Arizona State Sun Devils, UCLA Bruins, and Michigan Wolverines.

The 6-foot-5, 180-pound Addison is the No. 82 player in the 2018 class and the No. 2 athlete, according to 247Sports.

Rivals lists Addison as the No. 58 prospect in the country.

The Gardena, Calif. product plays safety and wide receiver at Junipero Serra High School.

Here is what Rivals’ Adam Gorney wrote about Addison:

Bryan Addison has earned a reputation as one of the best safeties in the country but he’s also a standout receiver.

His length makes it difficult for cornerbacks to slow him down, evidenced by his three-touchdown performance in Gardena (Calif.) Serra’s loss to Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou recently in the Honor Bowl.

Addison would easily be Arizona’s highest-ranked commit should it come to that.

The Wildcats currently have zero commitments from four-star prospects, with their top-ranked prospect being defensive tackle Mykee Irving, ranked No. 568 by 247Sports.

Addison attends the same high school that UA quarterback Khalil Tate attended, making you wonder if Arizona making his top five had anything to do with Tate’s record-breaking performance against the Colorado Buffaloes last Saturday.

Addison has officially visited Michigan and Nebraska so far. Addison’s lead recruiter at Nebraska is former Arizona defensive back coach Donté Williams.

Here are Addison’s junior year highlights:
