Arizona football recruiting: 3-star tight end Jake Peters commits to Wildcats
The Wildcats add a SoCal legacy prospect
The Arizona Wildcats hosted multiple recruits on campus this weekend and one decided to give the ‘Cats his pledge.
Sunday, three-star tight end Jake Peters committed to Arizona, making him the 11th member of the UA’s 2018 class.
Very excited to announce I am committed to The University of Arizona. ⬇️ #ATeam18 http://pic.twitter.com/2r9mzQ38rg

The Santa Margarita Catholic High School (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) standout was offered by Arizona last month and it only seemed a matter of time before he committed.
Peters also held offers to Washington, Hawaii, Montana State, and Northern Arizona.
Peters is a legacy commit for Arizona, as his father, John, played for the UA in the 1980s and his mother is also an Arizona alumna.
Peters suffered an Achilles injury last year that ended his junior season. This year he is back and healthy for his Eagles squad.
He has 21 yards on two catches on offense and 12 tackles on defense this season.
Below are his highlights from his first three games of 2017:
Arizona is known for hardly using tight ends, but true freshman Bryce Wolma caught five passes for 38 yards in Saturday’s 19-16 loss to Houston, perhaps signaling that the position will be utilized more moving forward.
