Arizona basketball: Kadeem Allen, Kobi Simmons, and Rawle Alkins to attend NBA Draft Combine

Chance Comanche is not

67 players are expected to attend this year’s NBA Draft Combine, three of whom are Arizona Wildcats.

Rawle Alkins, Kobi Simmons, and Kadeem Allen were named on the official list of attendees, which was released by the NBA on Wednesday.

Lauri Markkanen was invited, but decided to skip it.

Per the NBA’s release, the Draft Combine “is the first step in the NBA Draft process for NBA hopefuls and features five-on-five games as well as strength and agility drills at Chicago’s Quest Multisport on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12.”

DraftExpress.com currently projects Simmons will be selected 55th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft, while it projects Alkins will be selected 47th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Allen is projected to go undrafted.

Alkins can still return to school since he has not hired an agent yet, and has until May 24 to make that decision. However, it is believed he will go pro and receiving an invite to the Combine is a positive sign for his draft status.

Chance Comanche, who announced Friday that he will not be returning to Arizona next season, did not receive an invite to the NBA Combine and therefore is not expected to attend.
