Arizona football recruiting SitRep: Huge visit weekend for the Wildcats

The Wildcats hosted a large number of recruits this past weekend

It was a busy week for the Arizona Wildcats. The staff hosted a bunch of recruits over the weekend, sent out some official offers, and the current team had their scrimmage to end spring practice.

So let’s dive into this week’s SitRep.

Adam Plant Jr.

Plant, who is a 3-star defensive end from Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas, NV), took an unofficial trip to Tucson at the beginning of March and was impressed. He liked everything about the school including the coaches, students, and atmosphere.

David Hill — former Wildcat and coach at Desert Pines in Vegas — talked to the Arizona staff about Plant and helped with his offer that he received on his visit. Nowadays, Plant talks to Vince Amey the most and they are in constant contact. Plant’s former teammate, incoming freshman Malik Hausman, has been recruiting him and wants him to go to Arizona.

Plant will be taking other visits during his spring break and is waiting to see how those go. He is eyeing an August commitment as of right now. Good news for the Wildcats is that they currently sit on top of Plant’s list.

Visitors

The Wildcats had a huge recruiting weekend this week, with a lot of big names heading to Tucson. Numbers for recruits on campus vary from 50 to about 80. The Proway 7v7 team headed down to take in the spring scrimmage along with Vegas recruits to keep an eye on and a NorCal defensive lineman.
