Arizona basketball: Wildcats 7th in AP Poll heading into Pac-12 Tournament

No movement in the final regular season week

After disposing of their in-state rivals to close the regular season, the Arizona Wildcats did not move anywhere in this week’s AP Poll.

The Wildcats remain 7th heading into the Pac-12 Tournament, and are still behind three other western teams, including two from the same conference.

Here’s a look at the full Top 25:

Arizona continues to be ranked much higher in the polls generated by people than ones by computers. As of Monday, the Wildcats were 21st on KenPom and 23rd in ESPN’s BPI. They are 9th in the RPI.

The Pac-12 Tournament may end up being for the 2-seed in the West, or a possible one-seed elsewhere assuming Gonzaga gets through the WCC Tournament unscathed. If the Bulldogs do fall on Monday or Tuesday in Vegas, things could get weird with seeding.

Less than a week til none of this matters anymore.
