Arizona football: Samajie Grant and Nate Phillips want the WR Coach job
This would be fun
The Arizona Wildcats currently have two assistant coach openings, one of those being the person in charge of the team’s wide receivers.
Well, two outgoing seniors from the wide receiving corps took to Twitter on Thursday to announce their candidacy for the job.
@ArizonaFBall what yall think about @natephil6 and I splittn that WR coaching job #WereDeadSerious

Yeah, that’s Samajie Grant and Nate Phillips putting their names in the hat as co-WR coaches at Arizona.
Obviously, this is unlikely to happen. But it’s fun to think about. Honestly, it wouldn’t be entirely surprising to see one or both of them as graduate assistants on the team, especially if a current GA is promoted to WR coach.
Another former player who went the GA route, B.J. Denker, also weighed in on Grant and Phillips’ desire to join the coaching staff.
@natephil6 @samajie_grant woah woah hold on now fellas

@BJDenker @samajie_grant you're not the only one that can do this coaching thing now V.Vick
— Nate Phillips (@natephil6) February 9, 2017
Anyways, I understand this isn’t a thing that we’re likely to see, but admit it, it would be fun as hell.
@samajie_grant @ArizonaFBall @natephil6 Don't underestimate young, hungry and knowledgeable...
