Arizona basketball: Sean Miller believes Allonzo Trier will play “sometime” this season
Trier missed his 17th game Saturday, but there might be reason to be optimistic about his return
There was increasing speculation that Allonzo Trier would return for Arizona’s game against Colorado on Saturday, but to no avail.
The sophomore missed his 17th game of the season, and a timetable for his return continues to be unknown.
The UA still hasn’t commented on Trier’s status, but Sean Miller did express some optimism about a potential return before Saturday’s game.
Miller told Pac-12 Network’s Jill Savage that he believes Trier will play “sometime” this season.

While it might only be optimism on Miller’s part, it’s the first time he’s said that he thinks Trier will be back this season.
Previously, Miller either hasn’t commented or simply held out hope that Arizona could get its full team back.
Still, until Trier is actually on the court, it’s understandable to be skeptical about his return.
Trier’s next opportunity to return will be Thursday night when Arizona hosts ASU. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
