Sonoran Hot Reads: Michigan State escapes Florida Gulf Coast thanks to botched clock
Dunk City almost had a huge upset
As we continue to try and figure out how good the Arizona Wildcats are, something worth keeping an eye on is how the Michigan State Spartans fare early on. Well, if Sunday was any indication, MSU isn’t great. The Spartans led Florida Gulf Coast by one in the final seconds, and a botching of the game clock may or may not have cost Dunk City a win. The officials did review it, and determined if the shot had gone in, it would have counted, but you’d have to think the horn going off at least had a slight impact on the shot. Also, here’s the super confusing explanation of what happened
- Arizona itself returns to the court Monday night. Here’s Ryan’s preview of Northern Colorado
- If this whole no turnovers thing keeps up, the Wildcats will probably win a lot of games
- During that scuffle involving Chance Comanche in the last game, both Rawle Alkins and Kadeem Allen should have been suspended for leaving the bench
Steve Kerr became the fastest coach to 150 regular-season wins, doing so in 176 games. He has a 150-26 (.852) regular-season coaching mark.
