Arizona Wildcats in the NFL: Robert Golden crushing other UA alums through two weeks

Here is a look at how former Wildcats performed in NFL’s Week 2

With Week 2 of the NFL’s regular season in the books, some former Arizona Wildcats were in action across the league this past weekend.

Let’s take a look at their performances (some instances lack thereof) from this week:

Marquis Flowers, LB (#53), Cincinnati Bengals

Much like last week, Flowers did see limited action. The Bengals played a rainy, messy game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and lost 24-16. Flowers had one tackle, giving him a stat line of just two tackles so far this year.

Robert Golden, S (#21), Pittsburgh Steelers

Golden played in the same rainy game as Flowers and Golden played pretty well. He had nine tackles, a PBU, and a fumble recovery that effectively put the game away. He now has 15 tackles this year to go along with the fumble recovery and PBU.

Nick Folk, K (#2), New York Jets

Folk was back to his old, reliable self this week. He was 3-for-3 on field goals with a long of 36 yards. He was also a perfect 4-for-4 on extra point attempts after having his first career PAT miss last week. So far this year, Folk is 6-for-7 on field goal attempts with a long of 45 yards. He is also 5-for-6 on extra points.

Will Parks, S (#34), Denver Broncos

Parks saw the field for the second week in a row for the Broncos. The rookie safety recorded his first career tackle in Denver’s 34-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts. It was his only tackle of the game.

Ka’Deem Carey, RB (#25), Chicago Bears

Carey did see action in Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, he left the game in the second quarter due to a hamstring injury and did not return. He finished the game with three yards on two carries and a catch for three yards. He is listed as "questionable" for next week.

Trevin Wade, DB (#31), New York Giants

Wade did see action Sunday in New York’s 16-13 win over New Orleans, however, he did not record any stats.

Rob Gronkowski, TE (#87), New England Patriots

Gronkowski didn’t play in his team’s second game of the season due to his ongoing hamstring injury. He is now listed as "day-to-day" and might see action this upcoming week.

Earl Mitchell, DT (#90), Miami Dolphins

Mitchell did not play in the Dolphins’ 31-24 loss to the Patriots Sunday. He was placed on IR last week due to a calf injury.

Nick Foles, QB (#4), Kansas City Chiefs

Once again, Foles did not see any game action. His Chiefs lost to the Houston Texans 19-12.

Brooks Reed, LB/DE (#50), Atlanta Falcons

Reed did not play in Atlanta’s 35-28 win against the Oakland Raiders. He was still nursing a shoulder injury that he obtained in Week 1. He is currently listed as "day-to-day."

Scooby Wright, LB (#50), Cleveland Browns

Scooby was once again listed as "inactive" for the Browns on Sunday.

Cayleb Jones Update

Jones, who was on IR for the Philadelphia Eagles, was waived by the team on Monday.
