Arizona baseball: Construction begins on new Hi Corbett scoreboard
A little something new for the start of Pac-12 play
Patrons of Hi Corbett Field may have noticed that the scoreboard hadn't been fully functional during the opening Arizona Wildcats homestand.
There was a reason for that, as a new board will be up before the start of the series against UCLA, which starts next Thursday:

The new board is much larger than the old one, so some things need to be taken care of before the new board can go up, like having a support system in place for the new one.
Will be 5x the surface area of current board.

We are beefing up the structure to go from a 20x11 videoboard to a 44x25ft board that will be operational by 1st pitch next Thurs.

Arizona does have a home game on Tuesday night against Utah Valley, but it's not expected that the new board will be ready to go by that game.
Thank goodness, and hopefully some other surprises will come along with the new video board.
The Wildcats open Pac-12 play on Friday night at Washington.
