Arizona football: Should Scooby Wright follow the Myles Jack approach and declare for the NFL Draft?

Scooby certainly has some options

UCLA's stud two-way player in Myles Jack has officially dropped out of UCLA after tearing his meniscus, so he can solely focus on the 2016 NFL Draft. His injury would have sidelined him for the rest of the season, and now he will focus on the rehabilitation process to keep his draft stock.

He was a consensus first round pick heading into this season, and his knee injury could certainly have an effect on his draft stock. While Jim Mora has commented on the situation since, he doesn't seem too optimistic for Jack.

Scooby Wright finds himself in a similar situation.

Rich Rodriguez isn't telling us much about his new foot injury, aside from the fact that he'll be out several weeks. That could mean as soon as Colorado on October 17th, or could be as late as Washington on October 31st for all we know, or even later.

Either way, Scooby Wright III has really only played in one game for the Arizona Wildcats this season, and he probably wasn't even healthy. Whether he still had pain from his initial knee injury, or his newly acquired pain from his foot sprain, there's no telling that he was 100%.

Now, prior to this season, he was projected as a first round pick, but by no means a lock. CBS Sports still has him as the 4th best inside linebacker in the nation, despite his injury, and he can be found as a first or second-round pick on many mock drafts across the board.

He as a few options: fight his way back onto the field this season and declare, get back this season and return for his senior season, shut it down this season and return for his senior season, or shut it down and declare for the 2016 draft.

Of course there are pros and cons to every situation, and there's no telling what's going through his mind, as well as his family's. But with the Myles Jack news coming out, it's an interesting option to entertain.
