Arizona basketball: Red-Blue Game set for 1 PM on October 17th

Catch some basketball to get your Arizona sports day started

You know what's crazy about Arizona Wildcats basketball fans? An exhibition game was sold out before there was even a time announced for it.

Now that the football game time has been set for 6 PM PT that day in Colorado, the McDonald's Red-Blue Game is set to get underway at 1 PM that afternoon in McKale Center.

The R-B game typically features two 12-minute halves, with a dunk contest and other things involved, which is why it's such a big draw for Arizona fans. Plus it's our first chance to see guys like Allonzo Trier, Ray Smith, Justin Simon, and even Mark Tollefsen take the court in Tucson.

The Wildcats began practice on Sunday, and the season-opener is scheduled for November 13th when the Pacific Tigers come to Tucson. There is an exhibition game against Chico State on November 8th.

If you can't go to the Red-Blue Game, it will be shown on Pac-12 Networks. It's unclear whether or not they will show it live or on tape delay.

Anyways, the 17th will be a nice, long day of Arizona sports, and should be a happy one as well. Should be.
