UTSA vs. Arizona: Jarvis McCall on Wildcats' injury report, four guys out

No real surprises here

The first Arizona Wildcats injury report has been released, and only one name that Rich Rodriguez didn't mention on Friday is listed.

Here's the full breakdown:

Probable: Jarvis McCall (hip)

Questionable: None

Doubtful: None

Out: Trey Griffey (foot), Tyrell Johnson (foot), Trevor Wood (shoulder, season-ending), Cody Ippolito (knee, season-ending)

McCall has missed essentially all of fall camp with his injury, and it's not likely that he'll be in game shape and ready to go for Thursday. He may have also been pushed down the depth chart by the play of DaVonte' Neal and Sammy Morrison anyway.

We already knew about the four guys that are listed as out. Both Griffey and Johnson have foot sprains that may keep them out until Pac-12 play starts. This opens up opportunities for David Richards and Johnny Jackson, two guys that have been around a while that may get some extra balls coming their way the next few weeks.

One guy that's not listed on here that has been dealing with a little bit of a nick is Shun Brown. The true freshman receiver hasn't been going full contact since school started.

Overall, injuries are one thing that Arizona can't afford to deal with as the Pac-12 season rolls around. Hopefully these guys will be able to get healthy during the non-conference slate, and that no other names are added to this list next week.
