Arizona football: Scooby Wright to undergo MRI Thursday night

Hoping for the best

After Arizona's 42-32 win over UTSA, Rich Rodriguez gave a little bit of a timeline on when we'll know more about star linebacker Scooby Wright III.

"I hate to speculate, he's getting an MRI tonight," Rodriguez said. "I don't think it's bad, ACL, MCL or anything, but I hate to speculate, but we'll see what happens."

"You hate to lose his leadership, but you lose his playmaking ability more than anything else."

Apparently Scooby had been dealing with a shin splints deal this week, which is what coach thought it was initially.

"Last week, he had shin splints and it was kind of an irritation, so we rested him a couple days and felt good about it, so I thought it was that reoccurring. But it was something else."

"We'll get it checked out and fixed up."

We'll all just hold our breath and wait.
