Sonoran Hot Reads: Football is here!

Welcome to the first day of fall camp

Rejoice! The Arizona Wildcats hit the gridiron as a team for the first time since the Spring Game Wednesday evening. It also means it's time for RichRod to drop some more quotes like these...or these, since he'll be seeing the same group of media people every single day for the next month.

- There were a few players available during Tuesday's photo shoot. That's where we found out what Carter Wood thinks it will take to win the starting center job

- Carter's brother Trevor is one of many tight ends that could make this year's offense even more interesting than normal

- Official Arizona offers went out this week. Michael Eletise has his, and Isaiah Hayes apparently goes to the School of Hard Edge

- Two new players are on the Arizona roster as the team reports to camp. They are former NAU WR Bryant O'Georgia, and Georgia LB Matthew Stagg

- Anthony Gimino has more notes from photo day, with quotes from Scooby Wright III on why last year doesn't matter

- Will Anu Solomon break Arizona passing records? He's certainly on pace to do it

- There's nothing more polarizing than uniforms, and you guys certainly proved that in the comments section of this week's Twitterbag

- Oregon State fans are hoping they can be the "Next Arizona". Good luck

Basketball

- Do you want to see a Salim Stoudamire jersey at the top of Mount Kiliminjaro? Of course you do, so support Lewis and the great charity he's supporting by going to Africa later this month

- Thanks to Jason Scheer, here are some highlights of Arizona targets Marvin Bagley and Andrew Jones

Other sports

- Track and Field has a new throws coach, while women's tennis has a new volunteer assistant

Tucson news

- Reid Park Zoo's camel ride is closed because one of the beasts has a bacterial infection
