Nick Foles still owns Tom Brady.
Matched up for the first time since Super Bowl LII, Foles got the better of Brady again, leading the Chicago Bears to a 20-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Trailing by two with 2:21 left, Foles led a nine-play, 32-yard drive that led to a game-winning 38-yard field goal by Cairo Santos. It was the sixth, and final, lead change of the night.
Foles finished 30 for 42 for 243 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The former Super Bowl MVP is now 1-1 as Chicago’s starter and 2-1 in games in which he’s appeared.
Here are his highlights:
Fellow Wildcat Rob Gronkowski had one of his best games as a Buc, hauling in three passes for 52 yards.
Brady was 25 for 41 for 253 yards and a touchdown as the Bucs fell to 3-2 on the season. He embarrassingly forgot what down it was on Tampa’s final drive, thinking his incomplete pass on 4th and 5 was actually on third down.
