Seattle is expected to be a recruiting hotspot for the Arizona Wildcats now that Jason Terry is on staff, and they offered another prospect from that area on Wednesday in Koren Johnson.

The 6-foot-1 point guard attends Garfield High School, which is coached by former NBA All-Star Brandon Roy. Per Rivals, Johnson is the No. 103 prospect in the 2022 class, making him a four-star prospect. 247Sports has not rated him yet.

Johnson also holds offers from Washington, Washington State, Pepperdine, Montana, and San Diego. Rivals.com’s Eric Bossi calls him “a straight-up winner.”

“He can go and get you some buckets, too,” Bossi once wrote. “There are bigger and stronger point guards in the sophomore class, but few play with the level of heart that Johnson does. He combines skill to go with his intangibles and spent the last year playing his best games in the biggest situations. Coached by former NBA star Brandon Roy, Johnson helped Garfield to a class 3A State Championship as they blew out everyone in their path, including five-star Paolo Banchero and Seattle (Wash.) O’Dea by 25 in the state title game.”

Banchero, of course, is one of Arizona’s top 2021 targets. So is four-star point guard Nolan Hickman, who attends Eastside Catholic School in Sammamish, Washington.

“We know it’s a hotbed for recruiting and talent, and so that is definitely one of the areas that I will try to tap into, knowing my presence there, knowing that I’m a guy in that community, in that area that a lot of kids and families look up to,” Terry said at his introductory presser. “I’m definitely excited about that.”

Here are some of Johnson’s highlights:
