Arizona contacts two more transfers

The list keeps growing.

The Arizona Wildcats have reportedly reached out to two more transfers—Utah Valley forward Isaiah White (per Dinos Trigonis) and Long Beach State forward Joshua Morgan (per Jake Weingarten).

Both have more than a dozen schools after them, mostly high-majors, and both have one year of eligibility left and can play immediately wherever they land.

Listed at 6-foot-7, White averaged 14.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game with the Wolverines, shooting 42 percent from the field and 22.4 percent from 3.

Listed at 6-foot-11, Morgan averaged 8.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game with the Beach, shooting 63 percent from the field and 59 percent from the free-throw line. He scores almost exclusively in the key.

The NCAA instituted a mandatory dead period, through at least April 15, prohibiting any sort of in-person contact between recruits and college coaches while the world deals with coronavirus. But communication via phone calls, text messages, emails and video chats is still allowed, and clearly Arizona is doing the best it can to stay in the game.

• Columbia grad transfer Mike Smith, the Ivy League’s leading scorer
• Virginia Tech’s Landers Nolley
• Wichita State’s Jamarius Burton and Erik Stevenson.
• Gardner-Webb transfer Nate Johnson, an elite shooter
