Arizona returns to AP Top 25 after Bay Area sweep

The Arizona Wildcats’ roller coaster of a season is back on the upswing after sweeping Cal and Stanford in the Bay Area.
The Wildcats (18-7, 8-4 Pac-12) returned to the AP Top 25 this week, checking in at No. 24 in the poll after spending last week unranked. Arizona has alternated being between being ranked and unranked in each of the past four weeks.
However, the Wildcats have remained pretty steady in the NET and KenPom ratings, where they rank 8th and 13th, respectively.
BracketMatrix.com, which compiles the NCAA Tournament bracket projections from a variety of sources, says the Wildcats currently average out to a 5.87 seed.
Arizona is one four teams atop the Pac-12 with four losses, the others being Colorado, Oregon and Arizona State.
The Wildcats host Oregon on Saturday night, a game that very well could make or break both teams’ conference championship aspirations.
The Ducks (14) and Buffaloes (18) both moved up in the AP poll this week. Here is what the AP Top 25 looks like in its entirety:
