Had the Arizona Wildcats managed to win at Hawaii back in Week Zero, it’s fair to say they would be ranked right now. Instead, they’re among the teams getting some love but not enough to crack a Top 25 poll.

Arizona (4-1, 2-0 Pac-12) earned 13 votes in the Amway coaches poll and 11 in the Associated Press media poll following its 35-30 win at Colorado, coming in at 32nd overall on each list. Technically it is tied for 32nd in the coaches poll with Hawaii, who also got 13 votes.

The Wildcats haven’t been ranked in the AP since Oct. 29, 2017, when they checked in at 23rd following a 58-37 win over Washington State to move to 6-2 in Rich Rodriguez’s final season. Arizona lost 49-35 at USC the following week to fall out of the poll.

Arizona could move into one or both polls with a win Saturday at home against Washington (4-2, 1-2), which well out of the rankings after losing 23-13 at Stanford. The Huskies have 72 votes in the coaches poll and 54 in the AP, good for 27th and 28th, respectively.
