Chase Jeter dealt with injuries for much of his first season with Arizona Wildcats, and his second season is off to a similar start.
Jeter will not play in UA’s annual Red-Blue scrimmage on Friday due to a groin injury, a UA spokesman told Jon Rothstein of CBS.

Jeter missed two games last year (and was limited in several others down the final stretch of the season) as he dealt with back and knee injuries. The redshirt senior still wound up averaging 10.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in 24.8 minutes.
Jeter missed most of his sophomore season at Duke due to a back injury. He said at local media day Tuesday that he is 100 percent, so this injury either recently occurred or he was not in fact totally healthy.
There is no word on the severity of Jeter’s injury. It probably wouldn’t take much to keep him—or any other player—out of the Red-Blue game because of its relative insignificance, so it might not be anything to worry about.
Arizona coach Sean Miller will address this media after the scrimmage.
