The Lone Star State continues to be a primary focus for the Arizona Wildcats on the recruiting trail, with two of its 2020 commitments hailing from Texas after Kevin Sumlin and his staff signed eight from deep in the heart of that region last winter.

Another Texan may end up coming on board in the form of Frank Brown Jr., a 3-star running back from Houston who has Arizona among his final five schools.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Brown is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 677 player in the 2020 recruiting class. From Sterling High School, he’s the 13th-best all-purpose back in the country and No. 97 prospect from talent-rich Texas.

A track star who has been clocked at under 11 seconds in the 100-meter dash and under 22 seconds in the 200, Brown is also considering Arkansas, Nebraska, Utah and hometown school Houston.

Brown took an official visit to Arizona on June 21, and three weeks later he included the Wildcats in his top 7 that also had Missouri and Texas Tech in it.
