Arizona softball’s home opener vs. New Mexico cancelled due to rain
The Arizona Wildcats will have to wait at least another day to christen the remodeled Hillenbrand Stadium.
Thursday’s home opener against the New Mexico Lobos was cancelled due to heavy rain in the area.
No makeup date has been announced, but Arizona is set to host a doubleheader against South Florida and Illinois-Chicago on Friday at 3:45 p.m. MST and 6 p.m. MST, respectively.

Tarp is on the field at Hillenbrand Stadium before @ArizonaSoftball takes on New Mexico. So I guess you could say it’s raining........
