Arizona opens as small favorite at UCLA

That hasn’t happened in a while

After how poorly the Arizona Wildcats played last time out against Utah, it wouldn’t have been surprising for them to never be favored in a game again this season.

But it turns out they will, at least for now. And not by much.

Per VegasInsider, Arizona (3-4, 2-2 Pac-12) opened as a 1-point favorite for its Oct. 20 game against the UCLA Bruins at the Rose Bowl.

It is the first time the Wildcats have been favored at UCLA since 2010, which was also the last time they won in Pasadena. Arizona has been outscored 128-41 in its last three games at UCLA, including 45-24 in October 2016.

UCLA (1-5, 1-2) is coming off its first win, a 37-7 romp at California. The Bruins are 3-3 against the spread this season, while Arizona is 3-4.
