It’s Homecoming this week for the Arizona Wildcats, but Vegas doesn’t really care about that. The sharps only worry about the numbers, not the pomp and circumstance.

Thus, Arizona has been installed as a major underdog for the Oct. 27 home game against the Oregon Ducks. How big? The opening line, per VegasInsider, is 20.5 points.

Yes, you read that right.

That spread is the largest for Arizona as a home underdog since September 2006, when it was a 21-point dog at home against USC. The Wildcats lost that game, 20-3, but managed to cover.

If it holds, this will be the fourth time since 2003 that Arizona has been a home dog of 20 or more points.

Arizona (3-5, 2-3 Pac-12) is coming off an 0-2 road swing against South Division opponents, losing 42-10 at Utah on Oct. 12 and then 31-30 at UCLA on Saturday night. Oregon (5-2, 2-2) lost 34-20 at Washington State on Saturday.

The Wildcats are 4-4 against the spread this season, going 2-3 ATS as an underdog and 2-2 ATS at home. Oregon is 3-4 ATS.
