These recruits are visiting Arizona for the BYU game

Take a look at who is visiting Tucson for the BYU game

The Arizona Wildcats are about to kick off the Kevin Sumlin era on Saturday as they host the BYU Cougars in Tucson to open the season.

That does not, however, mean recruiting for the future of the program stops. The ‘Cats will be hosting a few official and unofficial visitors this weekend for their game against the Cougs.

Below is a list of prospects visiting. Note that this list will be updated if more news becomes available.

Jalen Johnson, 3-star wide receiver commit (official)

The rangy playmaker has had himself quite the season so far. Last year he saw limited time after suffering a high ankle sprain. This season he is back healthy and is showing out. He has racked up 227 yards and 3 scores on just 8 catches so far this year. Last year, he had 189 yards and a score on 10 catches.

Johnson is solid verbal to Arizona and this trip will only help solidify his commitment even further.

Jaxen Turner, 3-star safety (official)

Turner is a must get prospect for the ‘Cats. They don’t need many safeties, but if you are going to get one, Turner is it. He is a priority for UA on defense and they have been recruiting him as such.

The ultra-athletic player is down to Arizona and California and has already unofficially visited the Bears earlier in the year. It is possible that he will commit after the weekend and the ‘Cats are in a good spot for him. This is definitely something Arizona fans should keep an eye on.

Makai Polk, 3-star athlete (official)

Polk is the true definition of an athlete. He can play either wide receiver or safety at the next level and has a ton of upside. Ever since the ‘Cats offered earlier in the summer they have done a great job with the NorCal standout. It would not surprise me if Arizona was recruiting Polk as a wide receiver, especially with his size at 6-foot-4.

This visit could help Arizona even further in Polk’s recruitment and it’ll be interesting to see how everything shapes out.

Jordan Morgan, 3-star offensive tackle commit (unofficial)

Moving on to the unofficial visitors and we find the local offensive line commit. Morgan is making the short trek from Marana down to Arizona Stadium to watch his future team take on BYU. I like Morgan a lot and he has a ton of upside. He is very athletic and has all the base skills so building him up to be a college lineman shouldn’t be too difficult. His pledge is solid to UA.

Bijan Robinson, 2020 4-star running back (unofficial)

Another local prospect, who is arguably Arizona’s No. 1 target on their 2020 board, is making the short trek to Arizona Stadium. Robinson has a really good relationship with the staff and that should help Arizona in the future. Robinson will have his choice of schools but Arizona has really positioned itself firmly in the mix. It says something when he makes multiple trips to campus, and yes, that applies even though he is a local kid.

Lathan Ransom, 2020 4-star safety (unofficial)

Ransom, another local standout and Arizona priority, is Robinson’s close friend and will also make another stop at Arizona Stadium. Like Robinson, Ransom also has a great relationship with the staff and has made multiple trips to campus. The ‘Cats are also in a good spot with him but Stanford has also placed itself firmly in the mix as well.
