Arizona early favorite in Pac-12 opener at Oregon State

After seeing what the Arizona Wildcats were able to accomplish last night against Southern Utah, how confident are you about their chances in continuing that at Oregon State?

The boys in Vegas apparently were impressed enough to install Arizona as a 6.5-point favorite for its Pac-12 opener against the Beavers on Sept. 22 in Corvallis, per VegasInsider.

Both the Wildcats and Beavers are 1-2, each getting their lone win against Southern Utah. Arizona beat the Thunderbirds 62-31 on Saturday night, a week after OSU claimed a 48-25 home win against them.

Arizona was last favored on the road last November at Arizona State when it lost 42-30. Its last victory as a road favorite was last October at California and the last time the Wildcats covered as a road favorite in a Pac-12 game was Oct. 17, 2015 at Colorado when they were minus-6 and won 38-31.

Since 2008 they are 5-12 against the spread as a road favorite in league play.

The Wildcats have lost their last two games at Oregon State, most recently 42-17 in November 2016.
