Ex-Arizona center Chance Comanche signs with Serbian club

Chance Comanche’s decision to leave the Arizona Wildcats after his sophomore year in 2017 remains among the more head-scratching program departures in recent memory. The 6-foot-10 center didn’t get drafted and wasn’t able to make it to the NBA as a rookie, instead spending time with the Memphis Grizzlies’ G-League team.

And after limited action with the Orlando Magic’s Summer League squad—he appeared in three games, averaging 3.0 points and 5.6 rebounds in 12.3 minutes—Comanche is headed overseas to continue his professional career.

Per his agent, Chris Patrick, Comanche has signed with KK Partizan NIS of the Adriatic Basketball League.

KK Partizan, based out of Belgrade, Serbia, placed fifth in the 12-team ABA last season with an 11-11 record. The team’s current roster includes ex-North Carolina guard Marcus Paige and former Saint Mary’s big man Jock Landale.

Comanche averaged 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game with Arizona from 2015-17, starting two games as a sophomore when he averaged 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds.
