3-star OT Rodquice Chaney has Arizona in Top 5

The Wildcats are in the mix for a big tackle from Texas

The Arizona Wildcats are one of five finalists for three-star offensive tackle Rodquice Chaney, he announced Monday night on Twitter.

The Houston, Texas product is also considering Houston, Missouri, Louisiana Tech, and SMU.

Chaney is the No. 1,342 player in the 2019 class and No. 116 offensive tackle. He stands at 6-4.5, 300 pounds, and was a second-team all-district selection as a junior at Alief Elsik High School.

Arizona already has a commit from an offensive tackle in Marana High School’s Jordan Morgan. Morgan measures at 6-5, 270 pounds.

Here are Chaney’s highlights:

The Wildcats’ class currently ranks 66th in the country and eighth in the Pac-12, per 247Sports.

Arizona picked up a trio of commitments this past weekend in safety Eddie Siaumau, cornerback Maurice Gaines Jr., and athlete Chris Roland to push the class size to 11.

The UA has four commits from Texas as it re-establishes its hold in the region after abandoning it in the Rich Rodriguez era.
