Arizona, not NCAA, to determine availability of Sean Miller, Deandre Ayton
The UA has yet to comment on the revealing ESPN report
Will Sean Miller coach against Oregon on Saturday? Will Deandre Ayton play?
According to NCAA president Mark Emmert, that is the Arizona Wildcats’ decision, per a tweet from CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson.
Mark Emmert on Arizona’s Miller and Ayton’s availability for tonight. Said it’s the school’s decision. Said they’ve been in contact wth all schools listed in the report.

An ESPN report Friday said FBI wiretaps have Miller discussing a $100,000 payment to secure the signing of Ayton.
If that is true and money actually exchanged hands, that is obviously a major NCAA violation, and most believe it will spell the end of the Miller Era in Tucson.
But Arizona has not officially responded to the report and the NCAA evidently won’t be handing out any suspensions anytime soon, so it is anyone’s guess as to whether or not Miller will be on the sideline Saturday or if Ayton will suit up.
But tip-off in Eugene is not until 8:15 p.m. MST, so there is still plenty of time for Arizona to provide some clarity. The school is very likely still gathering info and weighing its options.
It is worth noting that Arizona prepared Friday as usual for Saturday’s game, per Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star.
