Allonzo Trier exits with left knee injury vs. North Dakota State

Uh oh

Arizona Wildcats guard Allonzo Trier exited with a left knee injury in the second half of Monday’s game against the North Dakota State Bison.

With Arizona up 60-31 with less than 10 minutes left, yhe junior guard banged knees with NDSU guard Paul Miller as the latter made a move toward the basket.

Here is the video:

Trier immediately fell to the ground and appeared to be in significant pain as he repeatedly pounded the floor.

Trainers helped Trier to the locker room, and he eventually returned to the Wildcats’ bench.

There is no word on the nature or severity of the injury, but we will update this story when any info becomes available.

Trier had 15 points on 5-8 shooting before exiting. Arizona went on to win 83-53 to improve to 9-3.

Trier is Arizona’s leading scorer, averaging 22.3 points per game entering Monday’s contest, so losing him for any period of time would be a huge blow to the Wildcats who face Connecticut on Thursday before opening Pac-12 play against No. 3 ASU on Dec. 30.
