Oregon State vs. Arizona score predictions

Will the Beavers somehow pick up their first Pac-12 win?

The Arizona Wildcats are set to face the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday (8:15 p.m. MST, ESPN2) in their final home game of the season.

The Wildcats (6-3, 4-2 Pac-12) lost to USC last week, snapping a four-game winning streak, but luckily for them, the Beavers (1-8, 0-6) enter as easily the Pac-12’s worst team and the only team in the conference without a win over a Pac-12 foe.

Arizona enters favored by more than 20 points, and here’s what we think will happen Saturday:

Ryan Kelapire — Arizona wins 49-28

Arizona is going to win by a lot, but I actually think I might be undershooting how many points they’ll score.

No matter, I expect Khalil Tate to have a game similar to the one he had vs. UCLA, and the UA defense to have a decent showing unless Oregon State running back Ryan Nall explodes, which is certainly possible with the way UA has been unable to stop the run recently.

Jason Bartel — Arizona wins 55-24

Oregon State is the worst team Arizona has faced this year this side of UTEP, and with a home game on Senior Night, I would be shocked if UA won this game by less than three touchdowns.

Could also be a chance to allow someone else to gain some confidence behind center heading into the home stretch?

Brandon Combs — Arizona wins 63-28

I whole-heartedly expect UA to bounce back from last week’s loss to USC. Oregon State is about to get the brunt of the Wildcats in Tucson, on Senior Night, after a loss that they did not want. I expect the team to be focused from the get-go.

Much like Jason, I think we’ll see some players in the second half that need to get some reps/confidence.

Christopher Boan — Arizona wins 58-21

Arizona is currently a 21.5 point favorite in this one; its largest spread against a Pac 12 foe in a long, long time. The Beavers have looked much better under interim coach Cory Hall than they ever did under Gary Andersen—who literally ran away from Corvallis, giving up $12.6 million in guaranteed money to do so.

I expect Khalil Tate to threaten his already record-setting performance against Colorado on Saturday, and wouldn’t be surprised if Zach Werlinger gets some playing time in the fourth quarter on Senior Night, with the game well out of reach.

Robby Leano — Arizona wins 56-24

The way the Wildcats have been playing in the last month, I don’t see this going any other way. After a tough loss to USC in a thriller at the Coliseum last week, Arizona comes back to Tucson to face an Oregon State team that’s yet to win a single conference game. The Wildcats will take advantage of this and will finish their final home game with a huge win.

Expect Khalil Tate to continue the trend of a record-breaking season. And expect some touches from some Wildcat seniors, as Arizona tips its hat to said group of seniors on their final night at Arizona Stadium.
