3-star DT Josh Walker decommits from Arizona

Arizona loses a defensive line prospect

The 2018 recruiting cycle has been an interesting one for the Arizona Wildcats so far, but on Sunday, it took a step back.

Three-star defensive tackle Josh Walker decommitted from Arizona, he announced on Twitter.

“After many talks from me and my family, I have decided it’s best I re-evaluate my recruiting process and withdraw my commitment from the University of Arizona,” Walker’s tweet said.

Walker, from IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), is the No. 56 defensive tackle in the 2018 class, per 247Sports.

His decommitment is a big loss, literally, for UA as Walker checks in at 6-foot-2, 285 pounds.

Walker committed to Arizona on Aug. 1 over several Power Five schools, including ASU.

The ‘Cats still have multiple defensive line prospects they are working on and are sitting well with quite a few.

Still, it will be interesting to see if Arizona remains in the mix for Walker throughout the rest of the his recruiting cycle.
