Video: Arizona and Delaware engage in “slow man” competition, team bowling
Things got weird
So it’s been raining a lot in Texas and other nearby states during the NCAA Baseball Tournament, and Lubbock has been no exception.
A second long lightning delay hit on Saturday when the Arizona Wildcats and Delaware Blue Hens had just completed the tenth inning.
Towards the end of the two hour stoppage, things got weird.
First, Delaware and Arizona each nominated their “fattest” guys to race each other. Arizona pitcher Luke Soroko ended up taking down Delaware pitcher Scott Zimmer in a race to center field.

Then the two teams got together for some bowling action.

Bowling got intense but neither team was able to knock over a pin http://pic.twitter.com/FeZHUBC6QO

However, neither team was able to knock over any pins before the delay was lifted.
It never hurts to have a little fun at the old ballpark.
