Arizona football recruiting: Georgia quarterback K’Hari Lane verbally commits to Wildcats

Lane is a quarterback with size

The 2017 recruiting cycle didn’t go as planned for the Arizona Wildcats when it came to quarterbacks. Their big quarterback commit, four-star Braxton Burmeister, flipped to Oregon and it seemed like the ‘Cats didn’t have any other options.

This weekend changed that.

On Sunday, 6-foot 220 pound quarterback K’Hari Lane from Macon County High (Montezuma, GA) committed to Arizona.

Lane visited Tucson this weekend, received an offer, and jumped on the opportunity. He should receive an NLI this coming week. His only other offer was from Grambling State.

Lane doesn’t look like a typical quarterback with his size but he definitely has the stats to back it up. He finished his senior season with the Bulldogs 199-for-319 with 3,740 yards, 56 TD (state record), and 2 INT through the air. He’s also not bad running, gaining 290 yards and 8 TD on 65 carries.

Bleacher Report did a nice little write-up on Lane as well and is definitely worth the read.

Below are some of his highlights. He has a hell of a quick release.
