Sonoran Hot Reads: Who takes the last shot for Arizona in 2016-17?

Is Trier the best option in late-game situations?

One major bugaboo for the Arizona Wildcats in recent years has been creating decent shots in late-game situations. While the 2016-17 version of the Wildcats is probably deep enough that there shouldn’t be just one “last shot” guy, ESPN decided to name the last shot guys on all their preseason ranked teams, and Allonzo Trier is their choice for UA:

The sophomore guard is a prolific scorer who wants the ball with the game on the line. He can drill it from deep, but he's also able to get to the rim and score through contact. Most of all, though, his mental toughness would enable him to hit the game winner with all the pressure that comes with taking it. -- Jeff Goodman
