Sonoran Hot Reads: Warriors lose first game of season

Luke Walton: Still undefeated

With the plethora of Arizona Wildcats connections, the Golden State Warriors have become the unofficial NBA team of this here Arizona site, and it is with heavy hearts that we say they lost their first game of the year on Saturday to the Milwaukee Bucks. Andre Iguodala only scored two points in 28 minutes, thanks to a lowly 1-9 shooting, 0-4 from three. He did have nine rebounds, five assists and two steals though.

- Even with this loss, Luke Walton is still technically undefeated as an NBA head coach, because Steve Kerr gets credit for this start. Best head coach in NBA history right here

Arizona plays Sunday, but basically the rest of the Pac-12 played on Saturday. Utah got smoked by Wichita State. Oregon lost to our old pals Boise StateASU fell to KentuckyOregon State hung with Kansas, but eventually lost, even though Gary Payton II may have had the dunk of the year so far

- On the winning side, Cal eeked one out over Saint Mary'sColorado looked good against BYU. And UCLA held on forwin at Gonzaga

- Bill Walton is calling the Arizona/Mizzou game. On Saturday, he said he majored in biology at UCLA...on sorority row

Football

- Alabama's Derrick Henry won the Heisman Trophy. Stanford's Christian McCaffrey was second in the overall voting

- As the trophy was being handed out, Kahi Neves flipped his commitment to Arizona from Utah

- I caught up with Brandon Dawkins to talk about the ASU game, and his newfound confidence

Other sports

- Softball legend and assistant coach Caitlin Lowe got married to assistant soccer coach Paul Nagy. So don't get confused by someone named Caitlin Nagy being out there in the first base coach's box this year
