Arizona vs. ASU: Samajie Grant injured early for Wildcats

One less short yardage passing target

On the first pass attempt by Jerrard Randall, Arizona Wildcats receiver Samajie Grant was hit hard, dropped the ball, and has left for the locker room.

He jogged from the Arizona sideline to the locker room during the ensuing ASU possession.

This could be big for Randall, as Grant is more of a short route guy that can tack on big yards after the catch. It could have a big impact, but will also mean more targets for Johnny Jackson and Nate Phillips throughout the rest of the game.
