Arizona basketball: Wildcats picked to repeat as Pac-12 champions

Arizona lost a ton of talent, but the voters are still confident in them repeating as Pac-12 champions

Despite the losses of T.J. McConnell, Stanley Johnson, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and Brandon Ashley, the Arizona Wildcats were picked to repeat as Pac-12 Champions in the Pac-12 Preseason Media Poll:

Should Arizona be picked to repeat? I think so.

Sure, they lost four outstanding players, but they also bring in a highly-ranked recruiting class, and the additions of Ryan Anderson, Mark Tollefsen, and Kadeem Allen (from a redshirt year) should not be overlooked.

Arizona's main competition will be from the California Golden Bears and the Utah Utes, but personally I see Cal as the bigger threat. Utah lost Delon Wright, and needless to say he was Utah's most valuable player by a wide margin. Cal, on the other hand, did a wonderful job recruiting, and their starting five could be better than anyone else's, but I still think Arizona is the more complete and deeper team. And apparently I'm not the only one that thinks so.

What do you think? Should someone else have been picked to win the conference?
