Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona recruiting updates

Let's talk high schoolers

With Pac-12 season just around the corner for the Arizona Wildcats, there are still plenty of recruiting things going on, even if the coaching staff doesn't have a weekend off to go out and talk to potential future players this season. One guy who says he's been talking to Arizona a lot is Kee Whetzel, a two-star wide receiver from Florida.

- There was a game in California last week between Serra and Narbonne, which had Arizona commits dominating the stat lines on both teamsDevon Modster also had a good game for Tesoro

- On the basketball side of things, De'Aaron Fox has set a visit to Arizona for November 6th-8th

Football

- Arizona has climbed to third in ESPN's Pac-12 Power Rankings. The Mothership also moved Arizona up three spots to 17th in the national power rankings. The Cats are 16th in both major polls

- Rich Rodriguez seems to have said that he hopes Scooby Wright III will be back for the UCLA game. Let's be real, how is that news? Doesn't everyone around the program hope that?

Baseball

- Jett (airplane sound effect) Bandy picked up his first Major League hit on Sunday, and it was a home run

Other sports

Volleyball won two-of-three this weekend, with the lone loss being a five-set decision against No. 2 Texas

Soccer improved to 6-1-1 on Friday
