Sonoran Hot Reads (6/29)

Things are getting slow

We're approaching dangerously slow times for Arizona news, but here's a quick roundup for you hardcore people out there.

Basketball

- Sean Miller and the USA U-19 team are off to a 2-0 start at the FIBA World Championship. Allonzo Trier scored 17 points in their latest game

- Five-star shooting guard D.J. Harvey will be on campus at some point this week. He'll also be visiting Arizona State

Football

- Arizona gained a walk-on offensive lineman in the form of Chase Hanlon. Seems like there could be a lot of Long Beach City College guys on their way to Tucson in the coming years

- Diddy fell at the BET Awards, so naturally, there's a vine of him getting knocked over by a kettlebell

Baseball

- Nick Hundley's batting average dropped below .300 with an o-for-4 day

- Scott Kingery went 2-for-5 in a 9-0 win for Lakewood. He's now hitting .353 in his short pro career

Other sports

- Liz Patterson finished second in high jump at the USA Track and Field Championships, but has not qualified for the Team USA going to World Championships yet

Tucson news

- Some pastor went homeless for a few days for some reason
